California-based Scientific Art Studio produced a number of detailed animal sculptures for the San Francisco Zoo’s new Animal Learning Plaza, a sculpture garden designed to illustrate the array of adaptations from some of the world’s species. The team headed by Rey Hernandez modeled the animals in ZBrush, 3D printed or cut them on a CNC machine, and then molded and cast them in bronze, resin or concrete.
